At its Wednesday, August 19, 2026, 10:00 am meeting, the Carroll County Board of Elections will consider changing the location of a ballot drop box for the upcoming 2026 Gubernatorial General Election. For more information, please read the Notice to the Public here.

2026 Gubernatorial Election Information:

2026 Primary Election: Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
  • Early voting for the primary election: Thursday, June 11, 2026 through Thursday, June 18, 2026. Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
2026 General Election: Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
  • Early Voting for the General Election: Thursday, October 22, 2026 through Thursday, October 29, 2026. Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Notification of Polling Place Changes

    The Carroll County Board of Elections is committed to ensuring that all eligible voters in our community have fair and equal access to the polls. As part of this effort, we maintain a contact list of individuals and organizations who wish to be notified about local board meetings at which proposed changes to the locations of polling places will be discussed.

    If you want to be notified when the board will discuss polling place changes, fill out this form. You will be contacted at least one week prior to the meeting date.

  • Members of the public may address the Board, pursuant to the procedures outlined in §3.2B of the Board’s bylaws, which require public participation at a meeting to be pre-scheduled and pre-approved by the President. To request approval to speak at a board meeting, contact Erin Perrone at 410-386-2081 or by email erine.perrone@maryland.gov no later than 5 pm the day before the meeting. All public comment is subject to the discretion of the Board and is limited to three (3) minutes. If public comment is approved by the President, you will receive information to join the Google Meet virtually or to join in-person.
  • Closed Meeting: A portion of the meeting will be closed in accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Title 10, Subtitle 5, section §3-305(b) to protect the privacy or reputation of individuals with respect to a matter that is not related to public business.
